Ms. Erika Zachery, Ed.S.

I am pleased and honored to serve as Thornridge High School Division Leader of English, Reading, Speech, and Library Media Services. Prior to becoming a division leader, I proudly served as a Falcon educator for 18 years, but have been in education for 23 years. In the 18 years at District 205, I have held many roles such as girls' Head Bowling Coach - 9 seasons, 2023 Conference Champions (9-1 record), Journalism instructor and Sponsor (multiple awards for Bagpipe newspaper), AVID site team member, AP instructor, AP team leader, and student mentor.

Education is and has always been an integral part of my life; as such, I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Adolescent Education focusing on middle school Language Arts, English, and Reading from Illinois State University, a Master of Art in Secondary English Teaching from National Louis University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University - Chicago, and an Ed.S in Education Administration from National Louis University. 

As Division Leader of English, Reading, Speech, and Library Media Services, I aim to effectuate an environment that strives for innovation and relevancy, fosters collaboration, encourages leadership, promotes professional development, and celebrates excellence. I look forward to serving and collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure we provide our students with high-quality 21st-century educational programs.
